Manager – over 11 years experience in the ESOL industry and prior to that managed her own company.

Louise Chapman

Teacher - experienced in teaching groups of migrants in NZ, also taught in Thailand.

David Hart

Teacher - trained in England. Is also a music teacher. Travelled widely and speaks Spanish.

Rochelle de Moulin

Has taught different levels, travelled widely and speaks Spanish. Also works in Administration.

Neil Johnson

Teacher – speaks Chinese and has taught English in Taiwan.

Tracey Wilson

Taught in France for many years, experienced in teaching tour groups, currently working with Elementary level; fluent in French.

Our team is a highly experienced and enthusiastic group of teachers and office staff.

BUT beyond the quality of teaching, what CHARACTERIZES our school is the openness and friendliness between students and teachers. Our ‘open door’ policy means that we are happy to talk with you at any time and to help you with any advice you may need.

Most of our staff also speak a second language so understand the difficulties in learning another language.

Jocelyn, our Administrator will help you with opening bank accounts, finding sports clubs, organising your ID cards and any other queries you may have about living in Tauranga.

Staff at BOPELS will:

be more than a teacher – they will help you to discover and to share with you the Kiwi way of life
give you individualised, personalised attention
write a monthly report for you which will then be discussed between you and the teacher
keep in contact with you as you move up through the levels
have different teachers for the morning and afternoon classes so that you have the opportunity to listen to and to understand different people.
take you out on excursions or involve you in some activity outside the school environment.

Pathways: Bay of Plenty English Language School will help you to go on to further Tertiary study in New Zealand if required – we have links with the Universities and Polytechnics around the country and will advise on best courses to suit the needs of individual students.
